Watering Can

{Photo 225/365}  Today I was at a family get together between two of Zachary’s hockey games.  It ended up being at my aunts house, in her crystal clean garage, because where we had planned to have it, at the park, didn’t pan out.  It was great to see everyone.  It seems like life gets so full, the days fly by and before you know it, it’s been a year since you’ve seen your family who all live within a 15 mile radius of each other.  As I sat in the garage catching up and talking, I looked over as saw these two watering cans.  The red one is my favorite, you can see it’s weathered, it’s been used, it’s watered a whole lot.  Here’s my deep thought, watering can — yes that IS what it is.  It makes watering plants easier, the water pours out through all the holes and livens things up, give flowers and plants a drink — gives them just what they need.  But also watering CAN quench our thirst, a little “watering” CAN nurture relationships, freshen us up.  When we pay attention to those things in our lives that need “watering” and when we “water” — nurture those things — they CAN.
