Week 8 – Tuesday

SCRIPTURE
2 Corinthians 13:4 NIV “For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God’s power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him in our dealing with you.”

REFLECT
…AND the Power.  Thine {Our Father, God} IS the Kingdom – AND the Power.  Power is ability, competence, effectiveness, capacity.  God has possession of and control or command over it ALL;  He has ALL authority.  Look for Christ’s power and presence in your life.  Take an inventory, evaluate all areas of your life – where do you see His mighty power?  Where do you see His hand delicately?

We invite you to share your insights and thoughts by leaving a comment below or by replying to another comment.

If you would like, you can unpack the verse S.O.A.P style:
S = Scripture; what is it that I’m reflecting upon.
O = Observation; what does this mean to me, what do I notice?  What got my attention? Can I rephrase this in my own words?
A = Application; how can I apply this into my life?  What action can I take as a result of what I just learned
P = Prayer; based on what I’ve learned and my application/action, pray – talk to God about your insight, ask for help, offer thanksgiving.

O: Together {with God} we have strength — THE POWER — without Him, we are weak. Christ was human, when he was crucified and during that time when he died for our sins, he was without God — powerless — then God pulled Him up to live — sending the Holy Spirit to dwell within us. That is Power we have free access to IF we choose to embrace it and live with Him

A: Each day we live we must choose Him. To draw near to Him and experience His power and strength. Without Him we will go backwards. When we feel weary, we must lean into him. When we are faced with indecision or questions, we must lean into him. He alone has the Power to handle each situation.

P: Father, You know it ALL — I want to stay close to you, walk hand in hand in your presence everyday. I want to understand and see how You see. Lead me — open my eyes to see, open my ears to hear, open my heart to know — Your perfect plan and will for my life. Thank you for your protection, power and strength. I feel it Father and I see it daily in my life. Thank you for being strong when I am weak. Thank you for being faithful to meet my needs and for accepting me just as I am. You know every detail of my life Father, help me today as I live — I embrace You and Your plan, I need You! love, t
