Week 8 – Monday

SCRIPTURE
Hebrews 12:28 MSG  “Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!”

REFLECT
We have got an unshakable, rock-solid Kingdom with our Father.  When we says these words, “Thine is the Kingdom” we are affirming who everything and everyone belongs to.  We are not just saying “a” kingdom, we are saying “the” Kingdom – He is the commander and chief over it all – there is nothing that is out of His reach, out of His control.  Again, we are acknowledging who He is and who we are not.  This is a form of surrender to His will and plan.  Do you accept this?  His reign over it ALL – everything seen and unseen?

We invite you to share your insights and thoughts by leaving a comment below or by replying to another comment.

If you would like, you can unpack the verse S.O.A.P style:
S = Scripture; what is it that I’m reflecting upon.
O = Observation; what does this mean to me, what do I notice?  What got my attention? Can I rephrase this in my own words?
A = Application; how can I apply this into my life?  What action can I take as a result of what I just learned
P = Prayer; based on what I’ve learned and my application/action, pray – talk to God about your insight, ask for help, offer thanksgiving.

Thank you both for your thoghts & insights on this study of “The Lord’s Prayer”.
It certainly makes the prayer much morn meaningful. There is a section that I am struggling with & I know I need healing in that area. I intend to continue to work on it and with the Lord’s help my thoughts & life will change & with change will be the healing. Blessings to you both.
