The Lord’s Prayer: Week 5 – Wednesday

WELCOME! If you’re new and just joining us, start here — if not, read below…

Week 5 – Wednesday

Psalm 68:19 ESV “Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.”

Are you tired? Are you physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually exhausted? We all experience at least one of these categories of exhaustion in some form daily. We can’t do “it” on our own. We need support, we need a cheerleader, we need someone to lean on when we realize we have exhausted our store of endurance. Our heavenly Father is there, bearing us up DAILY. He never leaves, He never sleeps, He never grows tired. We need only to yield our lives to Him and surrender. He will hold us. He will support us. He will carry us through.

We invite you to share your insights and thoughts by leaving a comment below or by replying to another comment.

If you would like, you can unpack the verse S.O.A.P style:
S = Scripture; what is it that I’m reflecting upon.
O = Observation; what does this mean to me, what do I notice?  What got my attention? Can I rephrase this in my own words?
A = Application; how can I apply this into my life?  What action can I take as a result of what I just learned
P = Prayer; based on what I’ve learned and my application/action, pray – talk to God about your insight, ask for help, offer thanksgiving.

S: Psalm 68:19 ESV “Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation.”

O: He carries. He delivers. He moves. He remains firm under me — He supports in ways that amaze me. When we accept Christ into our hearts, we receive His free unmerited gift of salvation — He saves us and protects us from eternal harm, risk, loss, destruction <– ALL of this is worthy and greatly to be praised DAILY. He’s stands ready every day to meet our every need. Daily. No questions. He is faithful.

A: OH to remember THIS when I’m in the midst of a struggle — when I’m wondering why? what’s next? and when life seems so uncertain. He is my strength when I am weak. He will give me ENOUGH emotionally to face the day. He has already equipped me to handle each situation that I face. Where I go, He goes with ME! He never fails to bear me up. WOW! He is mighty to save DAILY in each aspect of my life. OH to remember THIS…

P: Father, You alone know my deep thoughts, my struggles, my weariness, my stumbling blocks. Continue to give me enough daily to put one foot in front of the other. Forgive me for putting MY claws in situations to manipulate and control our of fear. When I fear, I am not relying upon you to meet my needs — I am sorry. You have a specific plan and purpose for me and my life, I trust Your perfect plan. Lead me today as my heart is torn and You hold the answer. I rest in your guidance for all areas of my life. Show me how to be the wife and mother You would have me to be. I desperately need You. Thank You for Your faithfulness. I look back and see You, Your hand in every way — let me remember that as I look forward. Shine through me Father, may I be a blessing to others today. I love you. t
