WELCOME! If you’re new and just joining us, start here — if not, read below…

Week 3 – Wednesday

SCRIPTURE
Psalm 8:1 AMP  “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent (majestic and glorious) is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory on [or above] the heavens.”

REFLECT
His name is excellent. It implies His perfection. Creation is phenomenal. God created the universe to bring glory to Himself, and to reveal just how awesome (worthy of honor, glory, and praise) He is. Think of the most awe-inspiring, beautiful sight you have ever seen on this earth. That breathtaking experience is but a glimpse of how glorious and MAJESTIC He is. His name is to be praised for what HE has done! Thank Him today. PRAISE Him! Glorify the name of the Lord, our God!

We invite you to share your insights and thoughts by leaving a comment below or by replying to another comment.

If you would like, you can unpack the verse S.O.A.P style:
S = Scripture; what is it that I’m reflecting upon.
O = Observation; what does this mean to me, what do I notice?  What got my attention? Can I rephrase this in my own words?
A = Application; how can I apply this into my life?  What action can I take as a result of what I just learned
P = Prayer; based on what I’ve learned and my application/action, pray – talk to God about your insight, ask for help, offer thanksgiving.

S: Psalm 8:1 AMP “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent (majestic and glorious) is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory on [or above] the heavens.”

O: His name is known everywhere — God — is a “household name.” His name is above ALL names, He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is our Source. He is glorious.

A: I’m just embracing the magnitude of how He is — He is in all things — I see Him everywhere when my eyes are open looking. expecting. grateful.

P: Father, Your name alone is worthy to be praised. Everything that I see are Your amazing gifts, blessings. Thank You — my heart is filled with gratefulness and adoration for who You are. Let me not take for granted, fail to appreciate even the smallest ways You care and provide for me and my family. Every detail matters to you, thank You. Reveal to me anything that causes blockage from receiving what You would want me to receive — open my eyes to see, my ears to hear, and my heart to know Your will Father. You know the thoughts that weigh heavy in my mind. You know the decisions I face. I’m trusting Your timing and revelation. Today, may others I meet, meet You. I love you. T

S: “O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens.”
    Psalms 8:1 NLT

O: Majestic…so much in that word. Stand out, larger and above all. It fills the earth….all of his creation. From butterflies to babies toes, moutains, deep seas. The tiniest of insects, the brightest of stars. Everywhere we look we see Him. He exists in all things.

A: I just really need to take the time to digest all we are learning, and look for God in all things. Life gets hectic, too busy. I need to just find the time to take in his creation, praise him. Satan’s greatest tool is to keep us busy.

P: Father, Abba you are here with me. Your love, your creation, your power surrounds me. How do I look away? How do I get so wrapped up in this temporary home when I have eternity with you. Help me Lord to see and understand you to the best my human mind can. Help me to focus on the awe of you. I am sorry Father for the things that interfere with this. I love you Father and I love the beauty you have surrounded me with.
