{Photo 294/365} This afternoon we ventured out again, on the same boat that we always go out on — 13 miles into the gulf to catch some fish. Our goal is always to catch a grouper that we can keep, but none that we caught today were keepers. Zach caught a couple little ones that he was able to keep and eat for dinner with his grandpa Bob. When we got back to the marina, when Jason as done skinning all of the fish for everyone, he let Zach put the line in one more time — this is what he caught…a Jack {that’s what they call it} They are not fish you eat, they are just ones to catch and release. It took him several minutes to pull this feisty one in, but he did and he had fun. It was another great day deep sea fishing with my nugget. priceless.
Fishing…again
{Photo 245/365} We always go out early in the morning. Watching the sunrise is one of my favorite things to do. He was keeping an eye on the shore land as it faded off in the distance. We ended up going about 13 miles out today. Our guides, who we have every time, Neal and Rob call Zach — Zach-Attack — they love him and are always delighted to answer his many many questions. We caught several fish, but no keepers. It was a perfect venture…nice breeze, calm waters, and just enough clouds to protect us from the sun’s rays. I go for him. For quality time. It’s our thing and we have fun.
Dolphins
{Photo 188/365} We headed to the marina at 6:45am, of course we had to stop at Starbucks so I could wake up with a coffee. We couldn’t see the sunrise because the clouds were thick and grey; it was raining. I guess that doesn’t stop the “real” fishermen from heading out. So, we went {Zach is the real fisherman, not me} it rained the whole time, we were drenched. We did catch 3 fish that we were keepers, Zach enjoyed them for lunch. My favorite part was seeing the dolphins. They love trailing the boat and jumping in the wake. What fun, loving, cute creatures they are.
