How are you Keeping it Personal?

(If you received this post via email, be sure to visit our blog today to watch the video.)

Another week has flown by – it’s Monday, how are you keeping it personal?

Thank you for those of you who shared with us last week your answer. We received a comment from Michelle H., this was her answer, “I have apologized to a friend for my anger. I was hurt and reacted in anger. I don’t agree with her actions, but my anger was wrong. I hope she can forgive me.” FORGIVENESS – I one of the best ways to keep it personal. I’m so excited for Michelle to see how her relationship with her friend can be restored through her reaching out make amends. We chose her to receive the $10.00 Starbucks Gift Card.

This week I am keeping it personal by leaning into God. I’ve got some “mountains” ahead of me that I’m climbing and I just really need some insight and direction. I love mountains, they refine me, make me better, and give me opportunities to grow. I’m focusing on Him to provide me with answers and clarity. As I continue to write the book I’m working on, I need Him, His wisdom, thoughts to flow through me. This week I’m leaning into God – Keeping it Personal with Him.

What is your answer? How are you keeping it personal? However you’re doing it, we would love to know…share your comment below. We will read every comment and randomly pick one of the comments to feature next week. Remember – the comment picked will receive a $10.00 Starbucks giftcard. You can grab a coffee on us and our hope is that you will keep it personal with another person and enjoy a coffee with them!

We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for joining us and thank you for sharing keeping it personal with others!

  1. Congrats to Michelle H. for winning from last week! That’s an awesome way to KIP. Forgiveness frees your heart so it can open to goodness and peace.

I love this concept – it is wonderful to find how others create and maintain intimacy with Him as it draws me nearer. This week I am keeping it personal by LISTENING to Him. I am reading “The Way of The Heart” by Henri Nouwen in which he says “solitude is the furnace of transformation” and that “silence guards the fire within” and “teaches us to speak.” In my time alone with God I am working on fully opening myself to Him in utter trust and silently waiting for Him to speak His truth. Throughout the rest of my day, I am listening for His voice of truth in any way He may speak – through others, circumstances, my surroundings, etc. I am keeping it personal this week by asking the Holy Spirit to enable me to openly listen to whatever I need to hear.

Thank YOU so much for sharing…what a GREAT way to KIP. LISTENING is one of the hardest things to do in the “craziness” of our world and in our lives. Psalms 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” It’s in these moments we can listen. It’s also being intentional about listening, like you said through others, circumstances, surrounding. LOVE this!! =)
